Picasa 3

Yesterday I downloaded Picasa 3 from google. I usually do my picture editing with Microsoft Picture it ( which is so old and slow). So until I get my Mac this will do. It is so much faster and easier and I had tons of fun with it! Here are some of the things that I did. Its great for just sharpening up your images.You always have to make sure and really look at all of your photos, because the ones you think you might get rid of might just be the ones that when cropped are amazing!!

The Livingroom

One of the things that I most love doing is designing and decorating rooms. I have always rented where ever I lived so I was never really able to do what I wanted. So once I moved into my HOME I couldnt wait to get started. Piece by piece I have been putting things together( literally) With limited funds you kinda have to do it that way. So I have been patient in the process with doing sections at a time, mostly transforming with paint. I want to say that my living room is 65% done. I have my new couch,which I love, and I have painted all of the walls. And I have picked up accessories along the way. The fireplace is a huge element that I am stuck on, trying to transform a gray marble slab that extends from the floor to the ceiling without hurting it (and all on a budget) is quite a task. Anyways I am definitly happy with how it is turning out and cant wait for it to be done so I can move on to my next project, my bedroom!!

An evening at the Ricks' household

So every so often around my house when we have nothing to do and are feeling a little goofy my kids like to jump off of things and I take pictures of them doing so. Couches. fireplaces. toy boxes, take your pick. This particular evening it was a toy box on top of the fireplace... We have so much fun doing it and it makes us laugh so hard. Here are a few photos from the evening, I swear I need to be an action photographer, what do you think. haha.

The Queen Mary

We went down to the Queen Mary this weekend, the kids had a lot of fun! I used to work there so when I go I love all of the memories it brings back. I was able to take the kids down to all of the exibits this time( whats left of them).It is so sad, things are suppose to get better with time but not the Queen Mary. It has done just the opposite and they cant seem to get anyone in there that cares. Anyways we were also able to go out on the bow of the ship and they had so much fun climbing on all of the capstans and other stuff. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from that day.

Happy 2009

WOW...Its 2009, already. Time flies when... it flies. I hope this year brings me many more great memories. I can't complain, like others, about 2008 my year was actually good! I am excited to see what new adventures I will have in my life this coming year. So I will probably be the only one reading this (which is COMPLETELY FINE) we will see how consistent I can be with it!
